About the artist

I was born in Ft. Wayne, Indiana in 1956 and chose to make it home until 1998 when I set my sites on Tuscon, Az. Not being good with directions I wound up in Springfield, Oh. I have to admit I am glad circumstance brought me here. While much of Ohio is economically depressed Springfield is far from a depressing place to live. I have found great beauty and inspiration here. Springfield, possesses an architectural heritage unrivaled by any city of its size in the United States. After graduating high school I studied at the Ft. Wayne Art Institute but did not pursue a career in the arts until age forty. After relocating to Ohio I joined a group of artisans in Yellow Springs, Ohio sculpting and carving in clay and plaster respectively. A shoulder injury made this work difficult and I returned to my first love, drawing. I currently work primarily in Pen&Ink although oil pastels hold a particular interest for me.

I cannot stress the importance of supporting locally owned business at this juncture in our history. In reading about Springfield I keep seeing that this city has RE CREATED itself many times over and is once again poised to do so. Everyone wants to buy at a reasonable price, right now if I have to pay a little more to keep my dollar at home I will. Springfield supports me I will do my best to return the favor!"
